According to police, the incident occurred just after noon in the 17100 block of Collins Avenue.

Police said Samantha Jean Hutchinson, of Sunny Isles Beach, was driving east on Collins Avenue, around a truck that was stopped in the roadway, when another vehicle turned left into the eastbound lanes, causing both vehicles to face each other and for Hutchinson to get struck in traffic.

According to an arrest report, Hutchinson then drove around that vehicle and threw water into the car.

Police said one of the victims inside the car threw water back at Hutchinson’s vehicle, at which point Hutchinson exited her car and opened the front passenger door of the other vehicle.

According to the report, Hutchinson began arguing with the male driver and female passenger and then slapped the female victim.

Police said the driver recorded the incident on his cellphone.

Local 10 News obtained that video of Hutchinson telling the victim, “Excuse me, you just threw something hot at me.”

The male driver replied, “For real? You just poured something hot over me,” right before Hutchinson struck the female victim.

Authorities said Hutchinson told them that hot coffee, not water, was thrown at her, but officers confirmed that they saw no coffee stains and did not detect the smell of coffee.

Hutchinson was arrested shortly after on a charge of burglary with assault or battery.

As of Thursday evening, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Online jail records listed her bond at $5,000.

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer also ordered Hutchinson to stay away from both victims.
