OAKLAND PARK, Fla. — Two children, including the driver, were taken to a hospital as a precaution Wednesday morning after crashing a car into a concrete pole, causing it to roll over in Oakland Park, authorities confirmed.
The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. near 3900 Northeast Fifth Avenue, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the driver lost control of the car, which then crashed into the pole.
Sky 10 flew over the scene around 10:35 a.m. as deputies and fire rescue crews examined the car involved in the rollover crash.
Authorities have not released the children’s ages, genders or identities.
Deputies confirmed that the driver is being cited for driving without a license.
Authorities said the crash also caused a power line to fall onto several cars in the area and a Florida Power & Light worker responded to the downed power line.
No other details about the crash were immediately released.
