PLANTATION, Fla. – A South Florida woman is accused of fatally shooting her partner during a domestic dispute.
Michele McCann, 57, was arrested Saturday night on a first-degree murder charge.
Plantation police said McCann called 911 after shooting her lover, Jeanine Luciano, 59, in the face with a rifle about 11 p.m.
During her initial court appearance Monday morning, Judge John Hurley read from a police report and revealed that McCann called Luciano's mother and admitted to killing her daughter.
Bill Siccone told Local 10's Glenna Milberg he saw a bloody McCann walking along the street in underwear and a T-shirt.
"She goes to the cops, 'It's about damn time you showed up, and that was it," Siccone recalled of the moment police arrived.
McCann and Luciano also had a dog named Taz.
"The victim's mother wanted nothing to do with the dog," Siccone said. "They were going to euthanize it. I said I would take it."
McCann was being held without bond Monday morning.
