Hurricanes outlast Columbia, advance to Sunday night

Miami baseball awaits opponent for potential clincher

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes are one win away from hosting a super regional.

The Hurricanes beat Columbia, 8-3, in their regional matchup Saturday night at Mark Light field.

Zack Collins went 2-for-5 with 3 RBI to help lead the 'Canes, who also played great defense to hold the lead.

Miami will now await the winner of Sunday afternoon's game between Columbia and FIU.

If the 'Canes win, they would host a super regional next weekend.
