MIAMI – Dan Campbell is joining forces with one of his mentors.
The former Dolphins interim coach is heading to New Orleans to coach under Sean Payton, according to ESPN.com.

Campbell will be the Saints' tight end coach and has also earned the title of assistant head coach, per that report. Campbell won a Super Bowl ring as a member of the 2009 Saints.
Campbell led the Dolphins to a 5-7 finish after talking over for Joe Philbin during the 2015 season. He is loved by the Dolphins' players, but that wasn't enough to earn him the full-time job after the season.
