Miami Dolphins place franchise tag on tight end Mike Gesicki

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins made a move about tight end Mike Gesicki on Tuesday.

The team placed the franchise tag on Gesicki.

That will leave him under team control for the next season.

The Dolphins could now work to negotiate a long-term deal with Gesicki.

Gesicki has played in 6 4games with 30 starts for the Dolphins since being drafted in the second-round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The tight end has 199 catches for 2,255 yards and 13 touchdowns.
