Dolphins Bradley Chubb out for season with torn ACL

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins suffered an embarrassing 56-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, ending their hopes of landing top playoff seed in the AFC.

We learned on Monday that the loss was even more costly to the team’s postseason hopes as defensive end Brandley Chubb has been lost for the season with a torn ACL, per multiple reports.

Chubb suffered the injury during the final minutes of the game, with Miami trailing Baltimore 49-19.

Speaking after the game, Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel said his players had wanted to stay in the game and “finish the right way heading into next week.”

He said he ultimately regretted the decision and that he “would like a time machine” to go back and fix his mistake.

The Dolphins will now be without Chubb, the team’s leader in sacks with 11, as it tries to claim its first AFC East since 2008 and win a playoff game for the first time since the 2000 NHL season.

Miami (11-5) will host the Buffalo Bills (10-6) on Sunday night at Hard Rock Stadium.

The victor will win the AFC East and earn the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
