MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Ducks spoke to the media Thursday after No. 5 Oregon defeated No. 4 Texas Tech 23-0 in the Capital One Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Linebacker Bryce Boettcher pointed to his team’s defensive effort as Oregon shut down the Red Raiders’ running game and recorded five sacks of quarterback Behren Morton.

Ducks defensive back Brandon Finney Jr. added two interceptions to help keep them in control throughout the game.
Oregon also converted a key trick play in the second quarter. On fourth-and-3, punter James Ferguson-Reynolds completed an 11-yard pass to defensive lineman Teitum Tuioti to extend a drive that ended in a field goal.
Tuioti spoke about that play and being ready for the moment.

Running back Jordon Davison scored two touchdowns and said afterward he appreciated the confidence his teammates and coaches showed in him when his number was called.

Quarterback Dante Moore was named the Orange Bowl MVP after leading the Ducks to multiple scoring drives.
With the win, Oregon advanced to the College Football Playoff semifinals and will face No. 1 Indiana in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
