Miami Dolphins to be featured on ‘Hard Knocks’ this fall

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – \\The Miami Dolphins have been selected as this year’s in-season Hard Knocks team.

Miami, who currently leads the AFC East with a 5-2 record, will now be featured by NFL Films and HBO (Max) later this fall.

The Dolphins were featured on Hard Knocks back in 2012 when Ryan Tannehill ultimately won the starting job for the team. Miami finished with a 7-9 record that season, third-best in the AFC East.

It is unclear when the first episode of the 2023 season will air but the skill level and personalities of Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Christian Wilkins should make for must-watch TV.

McDaniel admitted during Monday’s press conference while it wasn’t necessarily the Dolphins’ choice to participate, he can see the value in how the show will help bridge the gap between the team and its fans.

“I see some positives with this particular team, just knowing that there’s a lot of things that, in terms of when we do have success on the field, people are curious as to how that happens,” he said. “I think they’ll see exactly where that comes from. I don’t think it’s a bad thing for people to see our day-in, day-out hard work.”

The Dolphins will be looking to sweep the New England Patriots (2-5) at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
