Investigators search doctor's office, probing Maradona death

Dr. Luque's house and offices were raided Sunday in the midst of investigations to establish the circumstances of the death of Maradona. Neurologist Leopoldo Luque told reporters after the searches that he had given investigators all of the records of his treatment of Maradona, as well as computers, hard drives and cellphones. Weeping at times, he insisted he defended his treatment of the troubled soccer star, who died Wednesday of a heart attack following a Nov. 3 brain operation. Maradona had suffered a series of medical problems, some due to excesses of drugs and alcohol.
California teen dies from injuries after school attack
(CNN) - Mourners for a 13-year-old California boy who died from injuries sustained in an attack by students at his school angrily confronted the school system's superintendent at a Wednesday night vigil. The victim, who police identified only as Diego, was a student at Landmark Middle School in Moreno Valley, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles. Two boys arrestedDespite what police called "rigorous medical intervention and treatment efforts," Diego was pronounced clinically dead on Tuesday night from his injuries. He was beloved by his classmates, teachers and by his community," Kedziora said in a press release. The school will provide additional counselors to help students and the community mourn Diego's loss.
