Heat dome to make it feel like temperatures are in the triple digits

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A stretching heat dome is set to cause highs in the 90s on Sunday and Monday in South Florida — making it feel like temperatures are in the triple digits.

Temperatures are set to start in the lower 70s on Sunday morning and gradually peak to about 94 degrees. Monday the record is set to peak at 96.

The rain chance on Sunday and Monday is at 20%. Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer around the country.

Travelers faced severe weather risks of storms, tornadoes, and dangerous winds in the Midwest. Five people died during storms in Texas.
