Deputies release new video in deadly, unsolved Tamarac hit-and-run

TAMARAC, Fla. – Broward County deputies released new surveillance video and details Wednesday as they continued to investigate a fatal hit-and-run crash near the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just before 10:55 p.m. on Oct. 1 at the intersection of Northwest 31st Avenue and West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac.

Officials said the driver hit a man “crossing southbound near the crosswalk” and took off. Authorities didn’t release the name of the victim, citing Marsy’s Law.

The new video shows the suspected vehicle, believed to be a “silver sedan or small SUV,” from the vantage point of a nearby gas station.
