Officers respond to Swap Shop over shooting threat

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Several police officers responded to the Swap Shop in Lauderhill on Monday afternoon.

Officers blocked off the entrance, located on Sunrise Boulevard just east of State Road 7.

According to police, this was in response to a call in which someone threatened a shooting in the area. There is no word on what led up to that threat being made.

A certain part of the Swap Shop was being closed by officers.

Local 10 News’ Roy Ramos walked through the area and said vendors were packing up to leave for the day.

Officers also encouraged others to wrap up their days and leave the area as they continued their investigation.
