MONROE COUNTY, Fla. — A Monroe County jury found 35-year-old Dylan Cody Lamb guilty of murder and two other charges Friday in connection with the April 2025 killing of a woman at a Key Largo resort.
Lamb was convicted of second-degree murder, false imprisonment and altering, destroying, concealing or removing physical evidence, according to prosecutors. The jury deliberated for less than two hours.
The woman who was killed was Nadyne Marie Tillman.
Lamb, of Key Largo, faces up to life in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 9.
The case began April 7, 2025, when the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said they launched a missing-person investigation after Tillman’s family became concerned that they had not heard from her. Her vehicle was found at a Key Largo resort.
Investigators said they eventually searched a room where Lamb had been staying. A detective opened a closet containing an air conditioning handler and found Tillman’s body concealed underneath it.
According to prosecutors, Lamb told investigators he had contacted Tillman through an escort website and agreed to pay her $200 for sexual services. He said she tried to leave, but he blocked the door with his body.
Lamb admitted striking her during the confrontation. He later discovered she was not breathing and put her body in the closet, prosecutors said.
A medical examiner determined that Tillman died from blunt-force injuries to her head and neck, including fractures to her cervical vertebrae, according to investigators.
Authorities said instead of calling 911, Lamb told investigators he cleaned blood and other bodily fluids from the room using towels and linens. He then moved and concealed the body and packed soiled linens, Tillman’s cellphone and other belongings into three trash bags.
They said Lamb moved to another room at the resort the next morning, leaving the body behind.
Hotel staff later found the three bags and threw them away before realizing they could be evidence. By the time investigators learned about the bags, the resort’s dumpster had been emptied and the items could not be recovered.
Authorities said Lamb was arrested the day after the body was discovered. Investigators confirmed that they found Tillman’s credit card hidden inside his wallet.
Chief Assistant State Attorney Joseph Mansfield said the verdict brought accountability in “a brutal and tragic case.”
Lamb is scheduled to return to court for sentencing at 10 a.m. Oct. 9.
