FLORIDA CITY, Fla. — A 56-year-old woman is accused of committing a home invasion robbery in Florida City in which she punched the belly of a pregnant resident who confronted her on Wednesday.
Florida City police said Vickie Denise Snow entered the home, located in the 700 block of Northwest 14th Street, through an unlocked rear door at around 11 a.m. and began taking the victim’s property.
An arrest report states that the victim, five months pregnant, came out and saw Snow with her “clothing, laptop and a tablet.”
Police said when the victim told her to “let go” of her items, Snow punched her several times “around her abdomen.”
According to the report, the woman’s mother saw the attack and Snow punched her as well ― in the face ― as she left the home empty-handed.
Police said they found Snow, who is homeless, about a block away at Northwest Seventh Place and Lucy Street and took her into custody on charges of home invasion robbery with aggravated battery and misdemeanor battery.
Jail records listed her bond as “to be set” as of Thursday morning. Records show she refused to appear in court.
