This Week in South Florida Roundtable: Ron Magill and Paul Lambert

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – In South Florida, the fight over how much to build and where is an entrenched chronic question. The details of the latest fight involves land at Zoo Miami.

More specifically, it’s a plan to build a waterpark and tourist draw to the property of Zoo Miami, a plan more than 20 years in the making, and more recently, more than controversial because of the sensitive environment surrounding the south Miami-Dade location.

The project and progress now hinges on a vote coming Tuesday at the county commission.

Ron Magill is the longtime communications director at Zoo Miami, but for this passion project, he is a private citizen and South Florida’s nationally known wildlife expert.

Paul Lambert is the principle developer of Miami Wilds, whose amended lease for the project goes to a vote Tuesday.

Both men joined This Week in South Florida host Glenna Milberg to discuss, and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
