Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani entered the plea Wednesday in Miami federal court. According to a federal complaint, Alani admitted to sabotaging the plane July 17 as it was scheduled to fly from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, because he wanted to get overtime pay to fix it. Federal authorities said surveillance video showed Alani fidgeting with equipment in the compartment where the plane’s air data module system is located. This afternoon Abdul Alani entered a plea of guilty in federal court to the charge in the indictment.
