It’s been six years since 17 people were killed in the Parkland school shooting, and many are honoring the victims Wednesday with moments of silence and other events.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Robert Grant, 29, was found guilty Thursday on four counts of sexual battery and six counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. The former Coral Springs Middle School janitor and football coach had been accused of sexually molesting a then-15-year-old victim at least 10 times. Four other victims testified with similar stories. Grant testified Wednesday maintaining his innocence. The jury disagreed, charging Grant with four counts of sexual battery and six counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.

"In the middle of the night, your kid tells you (Grant molested him), and you break out a phone and record him? "I think you're going to find that the victim in this case is a troubled young man," Lewis said to jurors.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The trial of a former Coral Springs Middle School janitor accused of molesting students has gone to the jury. That took place in October 2017, when it is alleged that Grant performed oral sex on the victim. A Coral Springs police detective testified that Grant never admitted to the crimes during the three-hour interview. While on the stand, the detective also said investigators never retrieved evidence from the victim's body. But all five victims, including the one who is the focus of the trial, have taken the stand and had similar stories.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Another teen took the stand on Monday and described to jurors an incident in which he said a former coach and middle school janitor molested him when he was a student at Coral Springs Middle School. The alleged victim, now 17, testified that Robert Grant, 29, put his hands down the boys pants in an October 2017 encounter and began stroking his penis. Grant was arrested that same month on 10 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of sexual battery by a custodial adult on one victim. In addition to the 17-year-old victim, a Coral Springs detective also testified on Monday. The detective also told jurors that there was no evidence taken from any victims body.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The second day of the trial of a former school janitor got underway as two victims testified that they were touched inappropriately. Robert Grant, 29, a former sports coach and custodian at Coral Springs Middle School, is accused of molesting several students there. One of the victims, who is currently a junior in high school, continued his testimony Thursday. In another instance, school surveillance video showed Grant was on campus for several hours with the then-15-year-old victim who took the stand Wednesday. A second victim testified Thursday that Grant "touched him when they were stretching."
