That is enough of the synthetic opioid "to kill the entire population of Ohio, many times over," said Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Vance Callender. "The quantity of fentanyl in this case amounts to chemical warfare and a weapon of mass destruction," Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said in a statement. Agents also seized 1,500 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 500 grams of suspected heroin, three firearms and over $30,000 during last week's operation. They are facing charges of possession with intent to distribute 400 or more grams of fentanyl and felon in possession of a firearm.

(CNN) - Two children were killed and nine people were injured after a stolen police cruiser crashed into two parked cars in Dayton, Ohio, Monday night. The cars had been parked outside the Dayton Public Library when they were struck around 7:22 p.m., Dayton Police Lt. Eric Henderson said. According to Henderson, Dayton police originally responded to a call for a stabbing shortly after 7 p.m. The suspect crashed the police cruiser into two vehicles that were carrying 11 people between them, including seven children. Two Riverside officers sustained minor injuries when the suspect struck their vehicle.

(CNN) - A person who provided Dayton shooter Connor Betts the body armor he used during his attack will face federal firearms charges, a law enforcement official with knowledge of the case told CNN on Monday. The suspect also falsified information on federal firearms forms related to two handguns and a pistol version of a rifle, which the person owned, the source said. Those three weapons were not used in the Aug. 4 attack, the source said. The source would not identify the person being charged but characterized the person as Betts' friend. He also expressed interest in committing a mass shooting, Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl said.

The footage shows Connor Betts walking in first, being carded and getting a wristband, then waiting for the two others to enter. Dayton police said Monday that they have talked to the friend and said there is no information to suggest he or Betts' sister were aware that Connor Betts had weapons. Employees of the bar say they saw Betts at the bar earlier the night of the shooting, as well as on Friday night.
