Head coach Brian Flores of the Miami Dolphins celebrates with Daniel Kilgore #67 during the game against the Washington Redskins. The 0-16 watchThere still are 11 games left, but it might be time to start fully gauging if the Dolphins could really go winless this season. After all, if the Dolphins couldnt beat the previously winless Redskins at home, who can they beat? Down the road, a game at the Giants and a home contest against the Bengals, the leagues other winless team, might offer the best chances to avoid an 0-16 season. Win those two games, and the Gators will be favored in their last three regular-season games against Vanderbilt, Missouri and Florida State.

Local10.com college football picks: Week 7
The Gators and Seminoles may be rivals, but they've got something in common this weekend -- they're both playing the underdog roles. For the second consecutive weekend, Florida has to prove its worth in a Southeastern Conference battle of undefeated teams. Meanwhile, unranked Florida State will have a tall task at the other "Death Valley" against No. The group was unanimous in picking the Tigers (as in, the Tigers of LSU and of Clemson) to beat the Sunshine State teams. But the majority of the group still seems high on Miami, despite a sloppy performance at home last weekend.

Local10.com college football picks: Week 6 results
It was a rough weekend for the college football prognosticators. The entire group underestimated Florida, overestimated Miami and disregarded Cincinnati in a weekend of upsets. Miami was probably the biggest disappointment, failing to capitalize after rallying from a 28-point deficit against Virginia Tech. The Hurricanes (2-3) are off to their worst start since Al Golden's first season in 2011. Ian Margol slipped to three games behind after a 5-4 weekend that included a woeful vote of confidence in UMass.

Local10.com college football picks: Week 6
The college football prognosticators are unanimously picking seventh-ranked Auburn to beat No. The group is all in on the Wolverines, although Ian said he'd favor the Hawkeyes if they were playing at home. Ian and Liane are picking one-win UMass, led by former Florida State offensive coordinator Walt Bell, to beat the Panthers at Riccardo Silva Stadium. But Will and Clay are believers in Butch Davis' Panthers, at least for this weekend. The Huskies are just 1-3 this season and have lost each of their last three games.

Alligator was pulled from a pond behind Michigan junior high school
CNNTEMPERANCE, Michigan (CNN) - The teams at Bedford Junior High School in Temperance, Michigan, call themselves the Broncos. They may need to change their name to the Gators after one was found living in a pond behind the school. The school had posted multiple notices urging students and staffers to steer clear of the pond until the alligator was safely removed. The body of water is called the Biology Pond and is used by both junior and senior high school classes for academic study, the school said. "It got loose or somebody let it loose -- one or the other," Indian Park Zoo owner Joe Garverick told WTVG.

No. 11 Florida loses Toney, Henderson in win over UT Martin
11 Florida might have lost its top two players in a 45-0 victory over lower-division Tennessee-Martin on Saturday night. Elusive receiver Kadarius Toney and speedy cornerback CJ Henderson left the game in the first half and did not return -- a potentially significant setback considering the Gators (2-0) open Southeastern Conference play next week at Kentucky. Florida barely missed either of them against the Skyhawks (1-1), who fell to 0-10 against SEC teams and failed to cover the 44 1/2-point spread. Feleipe Franks completed 25 of 27 passes, including 15 straight to start the game, for 270 yards and two touchdowns. Florida led 38-0 early in the fourth -- and had emptied its bench -- when quarterback John Bachus scampered for 48 yards and gave UT Martin its best scoring opportunity.
