For those who knew better, though (see: Miami Heat fans), shipping Whiteside as far away as possible was a reason for celebration. Anything coming back in the deal for Whiteside was thought of as a bonus as far as Heat fans were concerned. Portland fans are already completely over the Hassan Whiteside era. Five Distractions That Will Make Dwyane Wade's Retirement Hurt a Little Less

They say all good things must come to an end, but that doesn't mean we have to be ready for it. Perhaps those hundred or so games Dwyane Wade played with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers from 2016 to 2018 have prepared Miami Heat fans for life without the franchise's greatest star. They say all good things must come to an end, but that doesn't mean we have to be ready for it or that it has to feel right. Any Heat fans who need some good news to turn that Wade retirement frown upside down should buy some Herro stock. With his sharpshooting on the court and WWE-like personality off it, Meyers has been as entertaining as any Heat player.

Hassan Whiteside Definitely Isn't Sad About the Heat Trading Him

Someone call Marie Kondo, because the Miami Heat has a mess on its hands. Hassan Whiteside remains in full-fledged hide-the-butthurt mode since the Heat traded him to the Portland Trailblazers last month. WE GOT SHOOTERSSS * https://t.co/thIvN9HqF7 Tyler Herro (@raf_tyler) July 23, 2019As you might have expected, it didn't take long for Whiteside to respond. Hassan Whiteside Celebrates on Instagram After Getting Traded From Miami Heat

If trends continue, the Miami Heat is set to have a fantastic summer. Now, Whiteside has jumped on Instagram Live to lob some backhanded insults at the Heat. Whiteside pretty clearly hated his time playing for the Heat and was ready to move on. This year, court records alleged that ex-Stormy Daniels lawyer and accused crime-doer Michael Avenatti stole nearly $3 million from Whiteside. Frankly, the Heat had committed so much money to Whiteside that it often appeared trading him was impossible.

Heat trade Whiteside to Portland for Harkless, Meyers, report says
