Authorities have identified two Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office motorcycle deputies who they said were killed, as well as a third who remains in critical condition, following a crash near Loxahatchee on Thursday morning.

Less than 30,000 rhinoceroses are living in the wild today, their numbers decimated by poachers hunting for their horns.

The West Palm Beach animal park announced the birth of the female Southern White Rhinoceros calf, which was welcomed to the world on Aug. 6.

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. – Two male lions from the North Carolina Zoo are now calling South Florida’s Lion Country Safari home. According to the news release, Lion Country Safari is currently home to 11 African lions, which are considered a vulnerable species. Lion Country Safari supports lion conservation and participates in several programs to save the species. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Lion Country Safari’s drive-through safari is the only part of the park that is currently open. The attraction is Florida’s largest drive-through safari and is home to more than 1,000 animals.
