Former NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been named the new head coach at Miami Northwestern Senior High School, his alma mater.

A video surfaced showing students fighting before a teen pulled out a gun and fired at a 15-year-old boy on a Miami-Dade school campus’ parking lot on Thursday night after a basketball game between Miami Central and Miami Northwestern high schools.

Students and staff celebrated at Miami Central Senior High School Wednesday, honoring the school’s football team, as they were recognized as national champions by a high school football website.
