Man shoots woman at Pompano Beach home, deputies say

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Detectives are investigating a shooting on Monday afternoon in Pompano Beach. A woman was wounded and the gunman fled.

The shooting was at a home in the area of Northwest 19th Street, between Northwest First Terrace and Northeast Second Terrace, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives eventually arrested the man. Deputies said the woman told them she knew her attacker. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.

Deputies are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
