DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – New details were released Wednesday in connection with a woman who was rescued Tuesday morning from a storm drain in Delray Beach. According to a police report, Lyndsey Jane Kennedy, 43, of Delray Beach, who was naked when she was found, told officers that she went for a swim in a canal near her boyfriend’s house in West Delray Beach on March 3 – the day he reported her missing to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Kennedy apparently traveled through the tunnel, which “led to another tunnel and so on until she realized that she was lost,” the report stated. AdOn Tuesday morning, she yelled out to a passerby who then saw her in the storm drain and called police. “She also stated that Kennedy has a history of doing odd things and making bad decisions when she is high on drugs,” the report stated.

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – A South Florida woman is recovering in the hospital after she was found naked and stuck in a storm drain. Images show Delray Beach police and firefighters surrounding a storm drain near the intersection of Atlantic Blvd. “A passerby heard something coming from the storm drain,” said Dani Moschella with Delray Beach Fire Rescue. Delray Beach Fire’s Special Operations Team was able to remove the storm grate, lower down a ladder and hoist Kennedy up. “For her to say she was in the storm drain system for weeks is kind of hard to believe,” White said.

2004: Pierre Salinger, a White House press secretary to U.S. Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson, dies of heart failure at age 79 in Le Thor, France. Following his time in the White House, he became known for his work as an ABC News correspondent, in particular for his stories on the American hostage crisis in Iran and the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. He also served in the U.S. Senate in 1964 as a vacancy appointment and was campaign manager for the Robert F. Kennedy presidential campaign.
