DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A 24-year-old man was arrested Thursday, a week after a shooting inside a bar in Dania Beach that left a female bystander dead. Jose Soltren Echevarria, of Davie, faces charges of manslaughter, carrying a concealed firearm and possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted felon. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Nov. 4 at Rookies Ale House off Griffin Road in Dania Beach. According to BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman, an argument broke out between Soltren Echevarria and another man inside the bar, which escalated to a shooting that killed the woman, identified as Marissa Harris, 32, of Ocala. Anyone with further information about the shooting is asked to call BSO Homicide Detective Samantha Cottam at 954-321-4544.

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bar shooting that left one woman dead early Wednesday morning. According to BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman, an argument broke out between two men inside the bar, which escalated to a shooting that killed the female bystander. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel responded to the bar and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information that leads to an arrest.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. A shooting outside of a Pompano Beach gas station left one man dead Wednesday night. Broward Sheriffs Office homicide detectives said that at 11:52 p.m. on July 15, there was a 911 call reporting a shooting at the Solo Gas Station, 560 West Sample Road. When deputies arrived they found a man, later identified as 20-year-old Zion Lamar of Pompano Beach, outside of the business suffering from a gunshot wound. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported Lamar to Broward Health North where he later died. Homicide detectives believe Lamar may have been struck by gunfire during an altercation that involved multiple people.
