Indian Traveler Tests Positive After Landing In Australia

CANBERRA, Australia — Just one traveler who returned to Australia on board a repatriation flight from India has tested positive for coronavirus. About half of the 150 passengers have turned away after testing positive or being deemed close contacts of positive cases. Pain acknowledged being blocked must be “desperately disappointing” but said health authorities were working to get those who tested positive onto future charter flights. “It’s expected that some of those people who tested positive will return negative tests (next time).”Howard Springs is a locality in the Northern Territory of Australia. FIU and Curative launch walk-up COVID-19 testing on campus

FIU is partnering with Curative to expand COVID-19 testing by opening an on-campus walk-up testing station for students, faculty and staff. The testing station is located in front of the Student Health Center at MMC. Please note this testing station is a walk-up only; there is no designated parking in the vicinity. The mobile testing station augments access to COVID-19 testing that is already taking place by appointment at the Student Health Clinic and at FIU Health. The FIU testing station will be staffed by Curative.

DeSantis says coronavirus testing is free in Florida; lab in Hialeah charges $150

Ron DeSantis said COVID-19 testing during the coronavirus pandemic is free of charge in Florida, the Larkin Community Hospital’s Cardiotropic Labs has been charging $150 per test. Dr. Jack Michel, the CEO of Larkin Community Hospital, released a statement on Friday saying the lab has charged the city of Hialeah and federal prisons for tests. She said her son was experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms when he decided to go get tested outside of the Larkin Community Hospital campus in Hialeah. Michel said Larkin Community Hospital is cooperating with local and state authorities. DeSantis remains concerned about flights coming from New York’s coronavirus hot zone

Ron DeSantis said he was very concerned about the increase in flights from New York’s hot zone to Florida. DeSantis said airlines struggling through the shutdown were not eager to put a stop to the flights. “It is just reckless, reckless behavior,” DeSantis said about people who are choosing to travel from New York to Florida as they flee the devastating effects of the outbreak. DeSantis said Florida’s hot zone is in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. DeSantis estimates more than 40,400 people have already lost their jobs in Florida.
