In order to vote, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (although you can preregister if you are 16)
  • Not have been deemed mentally incapacitated without having voting rights restored
  • Not have been a convicted felon, without your civil rights having been restored
  • Provide your current and valid Florida driver’s license number or I.D. card/ information

It only takes a few minutes to make sure your voice is heard. The deadline is midnight.

Christina White, the supervisor of elections in Miami-Dade County, says they’ve seen more than 9,000 people register to vote in the last week alone.

And mail-in ballots are already starting to be returned.

More than 571,000 mail-in ballots have already been returned across the state. That total includes more than 71,000 from Broward County and over 1,300 in Miami-Dade so far.

The difference between Broward and Miami-Dade can be attributed to the different timetables for when they were sent out.
