PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – The debate over how to stop the gun violence has Miami-Dade County leaders grappling with where and how millions of dollars are best spent.
Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has rolled out what she calls her Peace and Prosperity Plan, but some commissioners believe some of that money in the plan would be wasted and they’re demanding more immediate action.

His South Dade district has experienced nearly one shooting every day for the past year.
He joined This Week in South Florida hosts Michael Putney and Glenna Milberg, and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
