The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are looking for witnesses who may have seen what occurred before a man was found unresponsive on a Pompano Beach roadway.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, reports began coming in at approximately 4:20 p.m. that a person had been hit by a train.

All lanes of Interstate 95 were shut down in both directions Monday morning between Atlantic Boulevard and Sample Road due to a crash involving a gas tanker truck.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A woman was fatally struck by a car Thursday morning on Interstate 95 in Pompano Beach while attempting to cross the highway, authorities confirmed. The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of I-95 at Copans Road. Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Yanko Reyes said the pedestrian was struck in the center lane. All northbound lanes were shut down after the crash. By 7 a.m., traffic was slowly getting by in the left shoulder.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - A man is dead after he was struck by two cars Wednesday morning in Pompano Beach. The crash occurred just after 5:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Copans Road. A yellow tarp covers a body in the middle of Copans Road. A man who said he rides his bicycle along Copans Road daily told Local 10 News it's not a good spot to be walking in the road. Copans Road was closed for several hours between North Dixie Highway and North Federal Highway during the crash investigation.
