Ahead of Thanksgiving, the South Florida community celebrated Local 10′s ninth Day of Giving on Friday with over 11,000 pounds of food donations for a group of six nonprofit organizations that also each received $1,200 checks.
Joshua Williams, 21, was only four years old when he co-founded the nonprofit organization in Miami-Dade County. His grandmother saw how eager he was to help others when she gave him $20 and he gave the bill to a man who said he needed money to eat.
As part of Local 10's Day of Giving campaign, "Harvest Drive" is highlighted for its efforts as it continues to help South Florida families this Holiday season.
