Miami Gardens police swarmed a gas station overnight after receiving reports of a shooting.

New Jersey is considering charging fees on producers of fossil fuels to help the state that is home to several oil and gas facilities fight the effects of climate change.

Gas prices have again dropped sharply in New Jersey and around the country as demand remains slow and supplies continue to increase.

Gas prices have fallen from the record highs they reached earlier this summer, but they’re still higher than a year ago.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A driver was arrested Tuesday after crashing his pickup truck into a gas station in Fort Lauderdale. The crash occurred at the Exxon station convenience store on Northeast Fourth Avenue near Northeast 13th Street. A tow truck was used to remove the black Dodge RAM from the inside of the store. The impact of the crash caused shelves to be knocked over and the front of the truck was visibly damaged. Detective Tracy Figone confirmed the driver, Joseph Wayne Aligns, 67, of Fort Lauderdale, faces charges of DUI, DUI with property damage and failure to use due care.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A pickup truck crashed into a gas station Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale. The crash occurred at the Exxon station on Northeast Fourth Avenue near Northeast 13th Street. He said the driver wasn't injured. A tow truck was used to remove the truck from the inside of the store. Police are investigating the cause of the crash, but the driver was undergoing a field-sobriety test.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - Detectives are searching for two men who recently installed a skimmer to steal the credit card information of the customers at an Exxon gas station in Miami-Dade County. The gas station at 190 NE 119 St. is a few blocks away from Barry University and the quiet Biscayne Park neighborhood. The gas station's owner released the video Sunday, after the skimmer scammers got clumsy when they didn't seem to notice the surveillance cameras. The video shows them prying the gas pump's door open and using a blue sports utility vehicle to block the public's view. A worker who later noticed the pump was not working discovered the gas pump's door had been opened.
