Adā€œWe have an opportunity to recognize three members of our team who exemplify the spirit of all the team,ā€ says Hialeah Hospital CEO. As Hialeah Hospital is part of the Tenet Healthcare System, they were each given the distinction of being honored as a ā€œTenet Hero.ā€ Of all 110,000 Tenet healthcare employees in the U.S., only 76 people receive this title. Everybody here is a hero.ā€Furthermore, Rodriguez Arritola received the distinctive honor of being inducted into the Tenet Heroes Hall of Fame.

A man and a pregnant woman drove themselves to a hospital Thursday morning after they were shot, Miami-Dade police Detective Angel Rodriguez confirmed. According to Rodriguez, the shooting occurred between Northwest 95th Street and 119th Street and Northwest 32nd Avenue. Rodriguez said the pair drove themselves to Hialeah Hospital. Vergani-Cortez is facing a charge of sexual Battery by coercion or threat of a patient. Perez also said detectives are still investigating Vergani-Cortez. MIAMI SPRINGS, Fla. – Dozens of residents of a Miami Springs nursing home were loaded into ambulances Sunday. Eight Fair Havens’ residents have died from COVID-19, according to the department of health. Department of Health statistics show that Fair Havens Center has transferred 32 positive residents; 58 residents who have tested positive remain at the facility and 38 staff members have tested positive for the coronavirus. LĆ”zaro Guas, whose mother was one of the people transferred Sunday, told Local 10 that his mother tested positive for the virus, but she has yet to show any symptoms. HIALEAH, Fla. - Police in Hialeah are investigating after a shooter appears to have opened fire at a car with several people inside. The car was behind Hialeah Hospital off East 25th Street and East Eighth Avenue. Crime scene technicians could be seen examining a gray car with at least one bullet hole in a passenger-side window. There was blood on the interior door and a bloody shirt on some nearby grass. Police haven't said whether anyone was hurt or where the shooting took place.
