CORAL GABLES, Fla. The University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame has been open on the UM campus in Coral Gables since 1989. The building houses over 5,000 square feet of some of the most unique Miami sports memorabilia collections youll see. Unfortunately, the hall of fame now finds itself in a unique position because of the COVID-19 pandemic; uncertain if it can keep those doors open. The non-profit hall of fame isnt part of the University of Miami, even though its on school property, so they receive no money from the school. We have history that goes all the way back to the founding of the university, Routh explained.

Healthcare professionals in South Florida are working with the Florida Department of Health and the CDC to determine who needs to be tested for COVID-19. COVID-19 continues to spread across United StatesAs of Saturday morning, there are 278 people ā€œcurrently being monitoredā€ for COVID-19 symptoms in Florida, according to the Florida Department of Health. The Hurricanes played football with kids at the Boys & Girls ClubMIAMI - The Miami Hurricanes continue trying to make an impact in the community. On Thursday, a group of Canes went to the Boys & Girls Club of Miami. They hung out with the kids, playing football and basketball. This is one of several offseason visits in the community for Manny Diaz's team. The Canes will get back to Fall Practice and start focusing on the Florida Gators.
