Florida (1-1), ranked No. 15 one day after the unranked Seminoles (1-1) upset the Gators 63-51 at home. The Gators went 10 minutes with just one field goal as Florida State pulled ahead in the second half for a sixth consecutive win in the series. It wasn't enough to move the Seminoles, who dropped their season opener at Pittsburgh, into the top 25.

Although Florida won the game and covered the 35 1/2-point spread, it also struggled to run the ball early. Florida: Clearly has issues along the offensive line, which could prove problematic against the more dangerous Tigers: Auburn and LSU.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Kyle Trask threw for 293 yards and two touchdowns in his first start in nearly seven years and No. 9 Florida beat slumping Tennessee 34-3 Saturday, extending the Gators' dominance in a series that used to be the most prominent in the Southeastern Conferences Eastern Division. Trask completed 20 of 28 passes, none better than the ones that went for touchdowns to Kyle Pitts and Freddie Swain. He was benched in favor of freshman Brian Maurer to start the second half. He received a 15-yard penalty for running into punt returner Freddie Swain, who had called for a fair catch.

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. - Miami fans may want to consider dropping Comcast if the Hurricanes keep appearing on the ACC Network. The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that Miami's Sept. 21 game against Central Michigan will kick off at 4 p.m. on the ACC Network, which is not available on Comcast. The beginning of that game could be seen on ESPNews because Florida State's game against Louisiana-Monroe went into overtime. The game will be Miami's third consecutive appearance on the ACC Network.

The schools announced Tuesday that the Gators and Hurricanes will play a home-and-home series in 2024 and 2025. Miami will travel to Gainesville on Aug. 31, 2024 and host the Gators on Sept. 20, 2025. "Florida and Miami playing periodically is good for college football in general, but especially in the state of Florida," Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin said.

John Egbunu capped Florida's big first half with his 68th dunk of the season to set a program single-season record. Florida made 12 of 19 3-pointers in the first half to help build a 57-25 lead against the Ospreys. Finney-Smith, KeVaughn Allen and Kasey Hill each scored 12 in the half and the trio combined for 8 of 13 from 3-point range. PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Tim Tebow has won a Heisman Trophy, two national championships and an NFL playoff game in his young career. The former Florida Gators star quarterback will appear in an upcoming episode of Spike's "Lip Sync Battle." A promotional video for the show released Monday features Tebow doing his best Rocky Balboa as he performs to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger." The song was featured in the 1982 movie "Rocky III" starring Sylvester Stallone, who is an Oscar nominee for best supporting actor in "Creed."
