WILTON MANORS, Fla. - A Wilton Manors man is currently hospitalized after he was reported missing by his family. Omar Rodriguez, 66, was last seen Tuesday on Northwest 28th Street in Wilton Manors, walking toward Powerline Road. His family said he has early stages of dementia and may be confused. POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - A 43-year-old man died on Friday after the bicycle he was riding on collided with a vehicle, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Walter Carter died after colliding with a vehicle in the 100 block of Powerline Road, deputies said. A 2019 Ford Transit Connect was traveling northbound when Carter rode into the path of the vehicle after trying to cross Powerline from west to east, according to deputies. POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A Coconut Creek man has died after he crashed his minivan into a semi-truck Monday night in Pompano Beach. The crash was reported just after 7 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Copans Road. Detectives said the Dodge struck the curb along the north side of the roadway, went onto the sidewalk, sideswiped a utility pole and then traveled back onto the roadway, colliding with the semi-truck. The minivan flipped over and came to a final rest in the far right lane of West Copans Road. Pubien was taken by paramedics to Broward Health North, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 8:30 p.m.
