Jaguar Land Rover, which is owned by Indian conglomerate Tata Motors, hopes the move will help turn around the fortunes of the 86-year-old Jaguar brand, which for many epitomizes class but has struggled in recent years. Jaguar Land Rover also said that the far more profitable Land Rover brand will produce its first all-electric model in 2024 as it, too, phases out internal combustion engines. The move was welcomed by British Transport Secretary Grant Shapps as “a huge step for British car manufacturing."
Driver runs off road, crashes into fence, slams into building in Miami
MIAMI – The driver of a Jaguar that went off a road in the Little River neighborhood escaped with minor injuries despite how severe the crash appeared. Miami police said the driver ran off the road early Sunday morning, then smashed through a fence before slamming into a building at Northeast Second Avenue and Northeast 75th Street. Police said the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway to find out what caused the crash.
Boris Johnson's car hit in fender-bender; no injuries

Johnsons car braked suddenly and was hit from behind by the support vehicle. The prime ministers office confirmed Johnson was in the car and that there were no reports of any injuries. Photos showed a man being detained by police after the incident. Several groups were protesting outside Parliament in small numbers on Wednesday, including anti-Brexit and pro-Kurdish groups.
DUI suspect kicks deputy after crashing into bushes, leaving scene

KEY LARGO, Fla. - A 50-year-old Key Largo woman arrested on suspicion of drunken driving kicked a deputy after crashing into some bushes and leaving the scene, deputies said. Dodson kicked one of the deputies twice and told him to take her to jail, Linhardt said. On her way to jail, Dodson kicked and broke lights in the back of the patrol car, Linhardt said. Dodson faces charges including driving under the influence, DUI causing property damage, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
Man injured in multi-vehicle North Miami Beach accident dies
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - A 46-year-old man injured in a multi-vehicle accident last week in North Miami Beach has died. Daniel Jeruslami was one of nine people injured in Thursday afternoon's accident at the intersection of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 163rd Street. Surveillance video shows the white Jaguar SUV driven by Jeruslami trying to make a left turn into the shopping plaza when he's hit by a Mercedes-Benz being driven at a high rate of speed. Two others were hospitalized in stable condition after the accident. No citations have yet to be issued in the accident.
Man accused of leading police on chase previously arrested on similar charges
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A man accused of stealing a Jaguar and leading Fort Lauderdale police on a chase Wednesday has been identified by authorities as Lenord Anton Henley, 37, of Pompano Beach. Records show that Henley was arrested in June 2015 on similar charges. Both cases involved a pursuit by Fort Lauderdale police and both chases ended in Pompano Beach. Authorities said Henley refused to stop the car and ran numerous stop signs as he drove north in the southbound lanes of Powerline Road. Police said an officer was involved in a serious crash near Northwest 31st Avenue and Northwest Sixth Street during the pursuit.
