NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - A child was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday in North Miami Beach. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the victim to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Police at the scene surrounded a brown SUV which was parked in the middle lanes. Boy hospitalized after near-drowning in Dania Beach
DANIA BEACH, Fla. - A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from the bottom of a pool at a party in Dania Beach, according to the Broward Sheriffs Office. An adult noticed the boy, jumped in and pulled him out. The boy was pulled from the pool unresponsive and without a pulse, forcing deputies to administer CPR, deputies said. The boy regained a pulse before being transported to the hospital, deputies said. Fire Rescue units continued to provide advanced life support all the way to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, where the boy was listed in critical condition.
6-year-old dies after being found submerged in Dania Beach pool
DANIA BEACH, Fla. - A 6-year-old boy drowned Sunday in a Dania Beach pool. According to police, a gathering was held in the pool area of the Beach Walk at Sheridan apartments, located at 311 East Sheridan St.One of the adults noticed the victim submerged at the deep end of the pool, quickly getting him out and performing CPR, police said. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue brought the boy to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, where he remained in critical condition for several hours before doctors pronounced him dead. Police say the boy came to the gathering with his mother. An investigation is ongoing but homicide detectives said they do not suspect foul play.

BSO spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said the baby boy was found unresponsive at a home on Southwest 22nd Street shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday. Tour de Broward returns to Miramar Regional Park

By participating in the eighth annual Tour de Broward, you can exercise those cardiac muscles and raise funds to help children at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. The event will take place Sunday, Feb. 26 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Miramar Regional Park. Since its inception, the Tour de Broward has raised more than $2 million to aid the growth of the Hollywood-based hospital. While the Tour de Broward will kick off at Miramar Regional Park, located at 26801 Miramar Parkway, participant and volunteer parking will be held on the grounds of Memorial Hospital Miramar at 1901 SW 172nd Ave. Shuttles will be provided.
