In a unanimous opinion Thursday, the Florida Supreme Court suspended the law license of former state lawmaker and Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Grieco for one year after an investigation found that he made dishonest statements related to a campaign finance scandal.

MIAMI – The attorney for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar says he has five signed affidavits from witnesses that exonerate his client in an armed robbery. Attorney Michael Grieco told The Associated Press on Friday that the five witnesses attested that Dunbar was not involved in the robbery earlier this week. Grieco said the affidavits were presented to prosecutors in Broward County but authorities still want Dunbar to turn himself in. Each man faces four counts of armed robbery with a firearm. Baker, Dunbar and two other men began robbing other people at the party of thousands of dollars in cash, watches and other valuables, witnesses told investigators.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar was accompanied by his attorney when he turned himself into the Broward County Jail Saturday morning. The defense attorney for Dunbar said Saturday he has proof that his client is innocent. “The one thing my client has told me is that he definitely did not commit a crime,” Michael Grieco said. Miramar Police confirmed Saturday that both of the NFL players are behind bars at the Broward County Jail. On Thursday, Miramar Police put out a warrant for the arrests of Dunbar, 27, and Baker, 22, for the alleged $71,000 burglary.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Protesters gathered Wednesday morning inside and outside Miami Beach City Hall to express their concerns about the chemical being used in aerial mosquito spraying efforts to eradicate the Zika virus. Wednesday's city commission meeting was so packed that some protesters had to sit outside and watch the meeting on TV screens. The meeting was tense, at times sounding more like a sporting event than a city commission meeting. Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Grieco has publicly criticized the use of the chemical in the county's aerial spraying. "Somebody has to be the grown up here, and I don't think it's commissioner Grieco," Rosen Gonzalez said.
