Millard Thompson was armed when he broke into a North Lauderdale home about 2:20 a.m., on Dec. 30th, deputies said on Tuesday. Derrick Morgan, a 21-year-old resident of the home at Southwest 81st Avenue and Southwest Fifth Street, grabbed a gun and fatally shot Thompson, deputies said. North Lauderdale Fire Rescue pronounced Thompson, 38, of Deerfield Beach, dead and detectives recovered the gun witnesses said Thompson was armed with, deputies said.

He was caught on surveillance cameras at seven different locations across the north end of Miami-Dade County, investigators said Thursday. NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for the thieves who broke into a North Lauderdale home last month and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry and the victim’s house key. Deputies said the man asked for someone with the name Christina and the homeowner told him that person was not at the residence. According to detectives, the same man was then seen walking away from the home to another person who was waiting for him. Detectives believe the duo then went to a nearby home, cut a patio motion sensor and jumped a fence into the backyard. Authorities said the thieves shattered a rear sliding glass door on the second story of the home and ransacked the master bedroom, taking more than $2,000 worth of jewelry and the house key.

His hotel room was broken into on the day of the big game. Police said the tipster told Garcia that he wasn’t interested in buying the ring and that it had possibly been stolen during a home invasion. Garcia told the tipster it had actually been stolen from a vehicle, authorities said. The tipster again told Garcia he wasn’t interested and Garcia left the man’s business, at which time he was detained by police. Police said the victim identified the custom ring as one of his pieces of jewelry that had been stolen from the hotel room.

MARYSVILLE, Calif. – Childhood actor Shaun Weiss, who starred in “The Mighty Ducks,” series was arrested Sunday on charges of burglary and being under the influence of methamphetamine. Police discovered Weiss, 41, after a California homeowner alerted police that a stranger was sitting inside a car parked in the caller’s garage, USA Today reports. Weiss had broken the passenger window of the vehicle and was going through the items inside when found by police. According to the police report, Weiss “displayed symptoms of being under the influence of methamphetamine.”Weiss was previously arrested in 2018 for public intoxication. After starring as the team goalie in three “Mighty Ducks” movies, Weiss appeared in several television shows, including “Boy Meets World,” “Charles in Charge,” and “Freaks and Geeks.”

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Some PlayStation 4 consoles and cellphones were among the items stolen early Thursday morning during a burglary at a T-Mobile store in Hallandale Beach. The burglary occurred at the T-Mobile at 219 N. Federal Highway. The thieves got away with not only cellphones and the PS 4’s, but also drones, Apple watches and a camera, the store manager said. “Five consoles and five cellphones,” Karim Elchaer said. According to the manager, the stolen items are worth several thousand dollars.

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Coconut Creek police are searching for three thieves who were recently involved in a home burglary and an attempted burglary. The incidents occurred during the early night-time hours of Dec. 26, authorities said Monday. According to police, the trio first broke into a home in the 4300 block of Northwest 44th Terrace around 6:30 p.m.Police said they took several items from the home in just about 10 minutes. At 6:46 p.m., the group tried to break into another home, but were scared off after setting off the home’s alarm system, authorities said.
