Police: Actor Eddie Hassell, 30, killed in Texas shooting

Grand Prairie police said the motive remained under investigation, but that a car had been taken from the scene of the shooting.

Postal Service is hiring for various positions throughout South Florida, a news release from USPS stated. Wages for the openings range from $16.21 an hour to $17.95 an hour. Some of the positions now open include clerk assistant, mail handler assistant, mail processing assistant and temporary carrier assistant. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and be a U.S. citizen or have permanent alien status. Walmart to pay drivers nearly $90,000, and company's hiring
Not only will Walmart drivers be making, on average, $87,500 a year beginning in February, but the company says it will be hiring hundreds of drivers this year to join its fleet. The company also plans to implement a new process in its hiring in order to speed things up, expediting the time it takes to complete a new hire. Walmart’s new process has already cut in half the time between an initial interview and a mandatory driving assessment. “I’ve never seen a transportation company hire so quickly,” said Lori Furnell, Walmart’s director of driver talent acquisition. “Our drivers are entering the program fully confident and prepared to perform this critical element of our retail business.”Walmart says new driver candidates frequently report the culture and reputation for professionalism as top reasons for applying to the company.

Union Pacific and BNSF Railway are offering signing bonuses up to $25,000 to entice new employees, according to the Wall Street Journal. The report says Union Pacific is offering the bonuses to train crews in locations like Denver, Kansas City and Nebraska for jobs that pay up to $60,000 in the second year of employment. Candidates who are electricians and are qualified to inspect, repair and maintain train engines will receive the full $25,000. BNSF claims a shortage of qualified candidates is the reason for the heavy recruitment campaign where its new employees can make up to $15,000 in bonuses.
South Korea to turn off computers to keep employees from working late
SEOUL – Imagine working in a country where the government wants you to work less and will turn off your computer just to make sure you go home. It's a reality in South Korea as government employees will be forced to leave the office by 7 p.m. because the bosses will actually shut off the power to their computers. According to The Mirror, government workers in South Korea work some of the longest hours in the world, up to an average of 2,739 hours a year. The new "Get Out" program (that's not the official name) will be implemented over the next three months and start on March 30 with computers being switched off at 8 p.m.After a few more phases, the shut off will occur at 7 p.m.Incredibly enough, the report says over 67 percent of the employees asked to be exempt from the new rules.
