PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A fire that broke out Tuesday morning at a townhouse in Pembroke Pines — and then reignited hours later — is believed to have been caused by an electrical problem, authorities said. NARANJA, Fla. – A fire erupted Wednesday morning inside a fourth-floor apartment unit in Naranja, authorities confirmed. According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Erika Benitez, firefighters arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the unit. Sky 10 was above the scene shortly after 10 a.m. as the fire appeared to have been extinguished. A window was blown out and the exterior wall around the window was blackened by the smoke and flames. According to Benitez, the apartment building was evacuated and the Red Cross has been requested to provide temporary assistance to the affected families.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - A unit on the top of an apartment building at 1225 Riverside Drive in Coral Springs was engulfed in flames early Sunday evening. Neighboring apartment units around the burned unit were damaged by water and smoke. An elderly woman was saved from her apartment, which was full of smoke, Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department Division Chief Mike Moser said.
