When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with Candice Parscale, his wife, who had called 911. She told police that her husband was armed, had access to multiple firearms inside the house and was threatening to kill himself. In the latest video, Parscale sits in the back of a police car handcuffed, recounting what he was telling himself before police arrived. On Sept. 28, Fort Lauderdale police and the City of Fort Lauderdale filed a petition for a Risk Protection Order to keep the cache of firearms police located in the Parscale home.

Fort Lauderdale Police responded to a 911 call after Parscale’s wife approached a woman outside their Desota Drive home, saying her husband was barricaded inside and she worried he had shot himself.

He grabbed the victim and threw her to the ground where he tried to sexually assault her. He was wearing a Marlins Logo New Era black baseball cap, black t-shirt, black Air Jordan sweat pants, black sneakers, and a black mask with white “LV” (Louis Vuitton style) monogram print. They pulled down a side street off North Andrews Avenue to stop the wanted drug suspect, and that’s when police say, he started shooting at them. Although activity was centered around the Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation Center, the incident was not directly related to the facility, officials said. A crew was in the back of the Wilton Manors facility doing electrical work when the shooting took place. Per BSO standard policy, the two deputies who fired their weapons have been placed on administrative assignment pending further investigation.
