An estimated 56.9 million people watched coverage over 21 networks during primetime hours Tuesday, down sharply from the 71.4 million viewers on election night 2016, the Nielsen company said. For weeks, media outlets had warned that Americans would need patience on election night and beyond, and that turned out to be their most accurate prediction. ABACO ISLANDS, Bahamas - An ABC News producer jumped into floodwaters Sunday to help get a group of people to safety, as Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas' Abaco Islands. The ABC News team was in a resort when they heard shouts for help. A producer decided to use a rope and risk his life to help them get to safety. "Our producer ... was separated from them by this rushing, this torrent of water," ABC News correspondent Marcus Moore said Monday during Good Morning America. At least five people died in Abaco Islands during the Category 5 storm.

Some staffers at ABC News are "up in arms," as one source put it, over the decision by ABC's entertainment division. The network is casting the former White House press secretary, best known for his obfuscation on behalf of President Trump, for what's supposed to be a delightful dance-off. Underneath it all, Zee struggles with depression, so crippling at times that ten days before she started at ABC she checked herself into a mental hospital. I had worked my whole life to get this opportunity and it saved my life because I knew I had to do something right now, said Zee. Zee spoke on the set of GMA about her struggle with mental illness and her constant treatment.
