Pembroke Pines police spokeswoman Amanda Conwell said McVay was driving a marked North Bay Village police cruiser, traveling north in the southbound lanes, with its emergency lights activated when he was pulled over on U.S. Highway 27. According to the report, McVay, who was not wearing his uniform, was unsteady on his feet and had vomit on his shirt. The North Bay Village Police Department has suspended McVay pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Flanagan High School remained hospitalized Tuesday morning. Pembroke Pines police spokeswoman Amanda Conwell said Officer Victoria Lima was struck by a vehicle Monday morning in the school zone along Taft Street. Lima, a 15-year-veteran of the Pembroke Pines Police Department, was in uniform and wearing a yellow traffic vest. Conwell said Lima's injuries were not life-threatening. Lima remained under the care of medical staff at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.

A view from Sky 10 showed an officer being placed on a stretcher and loaded in the back of an ambulance. Police diverted eastbound traffic by the school during the crash investigation.

Florida Department of Corrections records show Ireland has a lengthy criminal history, including convictions for theft and aggravated assault.

Baker was riding a police-issued motorcycle and was on duty when he was involved in the crash about 7 a.m. Saturday at 14800 Sheridan St., in Pembroke Pines, according to Amanda Conwell, a spokeswoman for the police department. Baker's crash comes a few weeks after a 30-year-old deputy died in a crash. Deputy Benjamin Nimtz died July 21.

"When officers arrived, the suspects were seen running through the halls and courtyard," said Amanda Conwell, a spokeswoman for the Pembroke Pines Police Department. Deputies in a Broward Sheriff's Office helicopter and police dogs from the Miramar and Pembroke Pines police departments participated in the search. The students are facing charges of burglary and trespassing on school grounds.
