FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A bicyclist was fatally struck by an SUV Monday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale. The incident was reported on West Broward Boulevard near Northwest 14th Avenue, right across the street from a Fort Lauderdale police station and just outside a day care. According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Chief Stephen Gollan, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. De La Rosa said he spoke with several people who heard the crash, but none of them saw what happened.
