FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A man was hospitalized Thursday morning after he was shot outside a nightclub in Fort Lauderdale, authorities confirmed. The shooting was reported outside Club Stereo along the 100 block of Southwest Third Avenue in in Fort Lauderdale’s Himmarshee Village. According to Fort Lauderdale police Sgt. Deanna Greenlaw, the victim, who works in the area, was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. “They came out the club, they were fighting, they came around the corner, and then we just heard gunshots,” one witness said.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – One person has died after a fire erupted inside a home in Hollywood. They said the man who was taken to the hospital had been living inside the garage. “My heart immediately dropped because it was just yesterday we spoke to him,” one neighbor said. The neighbor said the man had suffered a stroke in the past and dealt with several other health issues. Another neighbor said he tried to get the man out of the burning building before firefighters arrived.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A shooting in Broward County Wednesday morning led to a pursuit that ended in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County, authorities confirmed. St. Louis said deputies responded and saw a gray Nissan with four people inside leaving the area. Deputies chased the vehicle onto the southbound lanes of I-95 and the suspects’ vehicle crashed, causing the multi-vehicle wreck off Ives Dairy Road, she said. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. St. Louis said the driver of the Nissan was arrested and the three passengers inside the vehicle were detained for questioning.

MIAMI – Miami police officers and firefighters worked together Thursday morning to rescue a person who was trapped inside a triplex during a fire due to security bars that had been installed at the home, authorities confirmed. The fire was reported in the area of Northwest 75th Street and Second Avenue in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood. Firefighters said there was heavy smoke and flames unfolding throughout the home as they conducted a dual-side approach to rescue the victim. MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. A man drove himself to Jackson Memorial Hospital early Tuesday morning after he was shot in northwest Miami-Dade. According to Miami-Dade police, officers received a ShotSpotter alert just before 4 a.m. regarding shots being fired in the area of Northwest 48th Street and 26th Avenue. Police said officers arrived at the scene and found bullet casings, but no victim or possible shooter. Authorities said they later learned that the victim had driven himself to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police are searching for the driver of a red Porsche who they said struck two people with their car early Thursday morning and then fled the scene. The hit-and-run crash was reported just before 4:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard. According to Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman Casey Liening, a man and a woman were standing near Rock Bar when they fell into the roadway and were struck by the passing vehicle. Boarded up but open for business, a frozen yogurt shop owner told Local 10 News reporter Saira Anwer on Tuesday that she closed her shop Monday, but reopened Tuesday with limited hours. Next door, Luggage3 owner Susana said she kept her shop open for the entire Labor Day weekend. Down the broadwalk at Florio's of Little Italy, the restaurant co-owner said he noticed some neighboring businesses closed but he took a risk, staying open Monday and Tuesday. Business owners said they saw a dip in customers over the Labor Day weekend, but nothing they can't bounce back from."

The 31-year-old mechanic's name hasn't been identified, but Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said deputies arrived at the auto body shop at 2401 SW 31st Ave. and found his lifeless body. Coleman-Wright said three brothers went to the shop to confront the mechanic shortly before 8:30 p.m. She said the argument escalated to physical violence, resulting in a shooting that left two dead and two others wounded. The three wounded brothers, ages 22, 23 and 25, left the shop and drove to the nearby BSO substation on Hallandale Beach Boulevard. A lieutenant and BSO deputies rendered aid to the brothers until paramedics arrived and took them to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where the oldest brother died.
