FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – An argument between two neighbors turned violent Sunday morning, according to Fort Lauderdale police. FLPD responded to an address in the 3600 block of Southwest 13th Court, off of Davie Boulevard and near State Road 7, at 8:37 a.m. after a call about a dispute. One was suffering from a stab wound reportedly to the chest and the other had a minor head injury, according to police. Both were transported to local hospitals and were expected to be OK.Police said the investigation is ongoing to determine if anyone will face charges. Investigators did not say what started the argument.

PLANTATION, Fla. – About half a dozen police cars swarmed a hotel off State Road 7 and NW 3rd Court before dawn Tuesday morning to investigate a shooting. DAVIE, Fla. – Heavy and constant rain has saturated South Florida for much of the weekend, and more wet weather is forecast in the coming days. In Davie, several roads are under water, including a busy area near Nova Southeastern University and Davie Road. Around 4:15 a.m. a Ford Edge veered off the road and crashed into a canal near State Road 7 and Southwest 45th Street. Police also warned residents that College Avenue between Nova Drive and State Road 84 was impassable due to flooding. While waters have since receded, rain forecast for Sunday could quickly change things once again.

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – The family of a woman who was killed in a hit and run crash earlier this week is devastated. That woman and her husband were the victims of a multi-car crash near the intersection of State Road 7 and the Lauderhill Mall on Monday. The driver and passenger were still trapped inside as bystanders rushed in to help. The driver of the SUV, identified as Armand St. Louis, was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center with serious injuries. “I don’t think any other human being would just leave anyone to die and then run from the scene.”

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. The Broward Sheriffs Office is investigating a traffic-related fatality that occurred Wednesday morning on State Road 7 in unincorporated Broward County. BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman said deputies responded to the scene on SR 7 just south of Davie Boulevard shortly before 6 a.m.Sky 10 was above the scene as a tarp covered the victims body. Grossman said northbound and southbound lanes of SR 7 were closed in the area as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice.

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. Two people were injured during a Thursday afternoon crash involving five vehicles in Lauderdale Lakes, according to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue. Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane said Fire Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of State Road 7 and West Oakland Park Boulevard. Kane said Fire Rescue personnel took one person injured to Broward General and the other to the Florida Medical Center.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. Hundreds of drivers lined up to get tested for COVID-19 early Wednesday morning at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Miami-Dade Police Department officers said they allowed about 750 drivers inside the waiting area. There has been a surge in testing. According to the Florida Department of Healths Tuesday afternoon report, about 18% of people who were tested were diagnosed with the coronavirus disease. Officials at the testing site said the demand for testing slowed down over the last month or two, but this weekend there was a dramatic increase.

WEST PARK, Fla. – Deputies are investigating two smash-and-grab burglaries to a pair of West Park businesses. The burglaries occurred early Tuesday at a liquor store and cellphone store on State Road 7 near Southwest 27th Street. The owner said the crooks got away with about $5,000 worth of new and used cellphones, iPads and tablets. The glass on the front door of Prime Liquors in West Park is smashed out after a burglary. BOCA RATON, Fla. – A man talking on a cellphone walked into a Boca Raton bank Friday afternoon, held out a backpack and demanded money from an employee, the FBI said. The bank robbery occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at a BB&T Bank branch on State Road 7. FBI spokesman Jim Marshall said the robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI office in South Florida at 754-703-2000.

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating after a fight led to a shooting at a Walmart in Lauderdale Lakes. Deputies said two people were shot about 8 p.m. at the Walmart on State Road 7. Both victims were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. “We were told that someone got shot in the parking lot,” a witness told Local 10 News. Many shoppers told Local 10 they ran for cover when they heard others yelling that there was an active shooter.

A deputy on routine patrol made the discovery about 7 a.m. Monday at the Firestone on State Road 7. BSO spokeswoman Robyn Hankerson said a man and woman were found dead. "At this point, our detectives have said that it is suspicious, but we don't know the cause of the death," Hankerson said. Shawn Carter told Local 10 News he's known the victims for the last eight years.

LAUDERHILL, Fla. - A woman is dead after her car slammed into a light pole in Lauderhill. The crash happened just after 2 a.m. Wednesday on State Road 7 near Northwest 21st Street. Police said the victim's car appears to have been traveling south when it was struck by a northbound vehicle trying to make a left turn onto Northwest 21st Street. "When the officers arrived, they encountered the white car that's behind me with a female that appeared to be trapped inside and unresponsive," Lauderhill police Lt. Michael Santiago said. We don't know anything that's going on right now with that."
