Local10.com college football picks: 2019 championship week results
Look at the big brains on Local 10 News reporter Liane Morejon. Liane has been finishing strong these last few weekends, overtaking reporter Ian Margol for third place in the Local10.com college football picks. She was a perfect 10-0 in her conference championship game selections. It seems choosing Miami (even if it’s the wrong Miami) week after week paid off for her, as the Redhawks bested Central Michigan 26-21 for the Mid-American Conference championship. Local10.com college football picks: Week 14 results
Local 10 sports director Will Manso, sports reporter Clay Ferraro and reporter Ian Margol all went 23-7 for the final weekend of the regular season. Amazingly, Will and Clay picked the exact same outcomes. At least Ian went out on a limb and picked Mississippi to beat rival Mississippi State. Her 24-6 record was the best of the bunch, thanks in part to predicting a Virginia victory over Virginia Tech. Now they’ll have one final crack at the picks before the bowl games are announced.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 12 results
It looks like it's coming down to Will Manso and Clay Ferraro in the Local10.com college football picks. With just two weekends remaining in the regular season, Will has a one-game lead on Clay. Only an Iowa upset of previously undefeated Minnesota kept Will and Liane from having a flawless record. Not only did he pick Minnesota and Auburn to win, but he also had Navy stunning the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium. Instead, Notre Dame pounded the Midshipmen 52-20.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 12
Will there be any separation with this week's Local10.com college football picks? Local 10 News reporter Ian Margol and sports reporter Clay Ferraro are picking Auburn to beat Georgia at home. That's a split from sports director Will Manso and reporter Liane Morejon, who are picking the Bulldogs. Ian calls Notre Dame "vastly overrated." Will MansoIndiana at Penn StateFlorida at MissouriMichigan State at MichiganAlabama State at FSUNavy at Notre DameWake Forest at ClemsonGeorgia at AuburnMinnesota at IowaCincinnati at USF
Local10.com college football picks: Week 11 results
Kudos are in order for Local 10 News reporter Liane Morejon, who seems to have more time to devote to her college football picks now that she's on maternity leave. Everyone missed on four upsets -- Tulsa's 34-31 victory over UCF, Minnesota's wild 31-26 win over previously undefeated Penn State, Florida State's 38-31 win at Boston College and Southern California's 31-26 win in the desert against Arizona State. Liane and reporter Ian Margol correctly picked top-ranked LSU to finally knock off No. Instead, it was Liane who won the weekend, though she remains in last place overall. Still, she's now just two games back from Ian and closing in on the others with a few weekends remaining.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 11
Local 10 sports director Will Manso is once again leading the Local10.com college football picks. Will has a one-game lead on sports reporter Clay Ferraro headed into this weekend's slate of games. There will be no separation this weekend, however, as they both have identical picks. Another rivalry game being played this weekend is the "Shula Bowl," pitting Florida International against South Florida rival Florida Atlantic. Likewise, they've got Florida State losing at Boston College, which would essentially end FSU's fight for a bowl bid.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 9 results
There's a new leader in the Local10.com college football picks. Local 10 sports reporter Clay Ferraro broke the tie with sports director Will Manso to take a one-game lead after last weekend's games. Clay and Local 10 news reporter Liane Morejon were 8-3 last weekend, besting Will and news reporter Ian Margol's 7-4 record. Ian isn't far behind and is poised to pounce should either opponent stumble on any given week. ), but it seems he did send his final picks prior to the start of the games.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 9
Local 10 News reporters Ian Margol and Liane Morejon are going to ride and die with the Hurricanes this season. Both are picking Miami to win at Pittsburgh, even after the Hurricanes were upset by Georgia Tech at home last weekend to fall to 3-4. Local 10 sports reporter Clay Ferraro may surprise a few with his pick of Michigan over Notre Dame, but it's wise not to underestimate the Wolverines when they're playing at the "Big House." Right now Clay and Local 10 sports director Will Manso are all tied up for first place in the Local10.com weekly college football picks, though Ian isn't too far behind. Liane will likely need a November of surprises to keep her in the race.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 8
The group is all in on the trio of teams from South Florida, but the same can't be said about Florida State. The Seminoles are a unanimous pick to lose at Wake Forest this weekend. They should be able to withstand a struggling Georgia Tech squad Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium. But he won't make any headway this weekend with identical picks. Liane Morejon is hedging her bets on Michigan as she tries to narrow the gap between first and last place.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 6
The college football prognosticators are unanimously picking seventh-ranked Auburn to beat No. The group is all in on the Wolverines, although Ian said he'd favor the Hawkeyes if they were playing at home. Ian and Liane are picking one-win UMass, led by former Florida State offensive coordinator Walt Bell, to beat the Panthers at Riccardo Silva Stadium. But Will and Clay are believers in Butch Davis' Panthers, at least for this weekend. The Huskies are just 1-3 this season and have lost each of their last three games.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 5
Will this be the weekend Local 10 News reporter Liane Morejon gains some ground on her XY-chromosome colleagues? Record aside, Liane obviously knows something the others don't about FAU's trip to Charlotte. Meanwhile in Tallahassee, the Seminoles will try to win consecutive games for just the second time in the Willie Taggart era. Ohio State and Nebraska had a close one last year, but nobody's expecting a letdown from the fifth-ranked Buckeyes. Virginia has had a successful September, but there's not much faith that the Cavalier can keep it going at Notre Dame Stadium.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 4 results
Local 10 sports director Will Manso and reporter Ian Margol were the week's big winners, finishing 10-1 in the college football picks. That leaves Will in sole possession of first place with a 35-6 overall record. Clay falls to second with a 34-7 overall record, while Ian is right behind him at 33-8 overall. She had another 8-3 weekend, picking Michigan to win at Wisconsin and Louisville to win at Florida State. She is eight games behind Will for the top spot and likely in need of some resounding upsets to narrow the deficit.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 3 results
Will Manso, Clay Ferraro and Ian Margol each had a strong 10-1 showing last weekend, while the gap between first and last -- a distinction that belongs to Liane Morejon -- is growing. Clay holds a slight -game lead on Will, who has a narrow lead on Ian. The only surprise for the group was USC, which lost to BYU 30-27 in overtime. Liane slumped to 8-3 on the week, picking Ball State to beat FAU and Stanford to end UCF's 17-game home winning streak. The Owls flew away with their first win of the season and the Knights extended their streak to 18 games.
Local10.com college football picks: Week 3
Local 10 sports reporter Clay Ferraro has a -game lead on sports director Will Manso headed into the third full weekend of the college football season. Everyone missed on Miami's 28-25 loss at North Carolina, dropping the Hurricanes to 0-2 for the first time since 1978. In addition to picking FIU and Miami to win, she also put her faith in USF, which lost a close contest with Georgia Tech. After two straight weekends of unanimous stock in Florida State, the Seminoles have lost favor with this group headed into their Atlantic Coast Conference opener at No. Saturday's games are seemingly much clearer cut, as the only difference of opinion is Stanford at UCF and FAU's trip to Ball State.

Miller, who is a military veteran, now works as a security guard at the Trader Joe's across from downtown Dadeland.
